Follow Your Heart

Follow Your Heart.jpg

Someone once told me, “When you follow your heart, the choices you make will always be the right ones.” It’s natural to doubt yourself at times. We all like to seek the advice of others or ask someone to validate our choices and decisions. But remember, that no one can make your choices for you. What you do with your life is your own decision. How you decide to live your life and achieve your dreams or goals is up to you. Mistakes will be made, but that is part of the learning process. In fact, our mistakes can be some of our biggest teachers. Looking back on life, there will be many choices and decisions that turned out great, and lots that did not turn out so great. If you’re like most people, however, what you’ll probably find is that the decisions made when you chose to follow your heart will have led you to some of the best adventures, relationships, and accomplishments. So, today and every day – listen to your head – but follow your heart.

Something To Think About

Why do we second guess our decisions, or doubt our ability to make the right decision, without someone else to confirm it? Perhaps it’s just a habit that began many years ago. Perhaps it’s time for a new habit.

Our market is changing, and it’s an important time to build your listing inventory. Prospecting can be tough for a lot of agents – their heads get in the way. Second-guessing, Fear of rejection. Anxiety. But – when you let your heart take the lead and know that the bottom line is you are just reaching out to people to see if you can be of service, and you’re really just building relationships – the fear subsides, and you can make the calls and meet the people. This week, challenge yourself to make twice as many prospecting calls as you normally would. Get out of your head and let your heart take the lead.

Words Of Wisdom

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
