Nature's Wake Up Call
Wouldn’t it be great if life was filled with only “ups” and everything was always perfect? No downs and no defeats. It might seem nice in theory, but the truth is that a perfect world where defeat did not exist would not be perfect at all! Defeat is nature’s way or keeping us alert, waking us up, and teaching us important lessons. Every failure offers us an opportunity for growth and teaches us life lessons. It’s easy to shine bright when things go right, but when things don’t go as planned, that is when we develop courage, strength and determination. That’s when we learn who we really are and what we can accomplish. No matter how intense the defeat is, believe in yourself and your abilities. Believe that you will get through it. Failures are life’s way of building character, strength, and insight.
Something to Think About
Some wise words from Napoleon Hill: “Before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do. More than five hundred of the most successful men this country has ever known said their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them.” Now there’s motivation to keep going!
