Actions Speak Louder Than Words

There is a saying: “People will remember how you made them feel far longer than they will remember what you said.” Who is that person that made you feel special ten or twenty years ago? What was it about them that made that indelible impression? Was it a teacher who offered encouragement or direction?  Was it a family member, friend, or mentor that sparked a passion or shared a path that would lead to a positive and significant change in your life? Which of your traits or actions do you think may have touched a life in a way that would be remembered? What do your actions say about you? If you had to guess, what top ten words would be used to describe you and your relationship with others?  Today’s message is about being intentional. This week think about how you can touch a life, lift someone up, and make a difference. We all have that capacity.

Something to Think About
How do you want to be remembered? What character trait or act would people attribute to how you impacted their lives? We all have the power to touch lives for the positive. Put some thought into the impact you can make this week.

Weekly Activity
List seven words that describe who you are, or who you are aspiring to be.  Each day this week, be intentional and apply that trait throughout your day, as many times as possible. It’s a fun exercise. Then list seven people who’ve made an impact on you and reach out to thank them!
