Slow Down
For some, March Madness means sports competition. For REALTORS®, March Madness is because the spring market is in full swing. Listings are coming on the market, buyers are coming out to buy them, and it can get a little crazy at times. That’s why this is the time to take care of yourself, physically and mentally. Each week, during the month of March, we will address one of the four ways to stay mentally and physically healthy. We will call it Stop the Madness.
Week one: SLOW DOWN. I know that when you are in the middle of all the madness, slowing down seems impossible. But what we are suggesting is that you begin to ease into new ways of staying grounded and calm. Why? Because you are the nucleus of the real estate transaction, which is one of the most stressful events in a consumer’s life. Someone has to stay calm through the process and as the professional in charge – tag, you’re it! Find what works for you. A morning or evening walk or run each day, your favorite music, yoga, prayer, family time, a chapter from a good book – all are great ways to center each day and find your zen. There’s even a whole new market of apps out there designed to help people find calm in the middle of life’s storms. Take some time this week to find your “thing” that will help you stay focused, alert, and at the top of your game this month – WITHOUT as much drama or stress. We’re here to help if you need anything!
Something to Think About
Studies show that those who practice grounding and centering handle stressful situations more effectively. Stress also weakens our immune system causing you to become tired and sick and when that happens, no one wins. Stick stress on the shelf for this month and focus on health and wellness in conjunction with your business. Find that balance!
Weekly Challenge
Find the daily activity that might work for you to keep you relaxed and calm, regardless of your work challenges. It’s a lifestyle change to commit to, not just for your health – but for the health of your business.
