With Rain, You Get Rainbows

Life is filled with opportunities and options. We each have the ability to choose our own path or to make our own decisions, however, each path ends up at a different destination – and different lessons. Some of those lessons will be amazing and create memories that will last a lifetime. Some of them will teach us things we need to know, allowing us to make better, more informed decisions about our life in the future. We learn from the good experiences, as well as those we would like to forget.  I love the saying, “Without rain, there would be no rainbows”. I think the same is true in our lives. Often, it’s some of the worse storms that produce the most beautiful rainbows. Look for the good – always.

Something to Think About

How often do you dash around telling everyone what a terrible decision you just made? What is done can’t be undone. As you embark on life's journeys, don't forget; they all take you somewhere and they all teach us something. Every experience that we have is a valuable one. It shapes who we are today and who we will be in the future.

Words of Wisdom

There are no wrong turnings. Only paths we had not known we were meant to walk. - Guy Gavriel Kay

You never know what's around the corner. It could be everything. Or it could be nothing. You keep putting one foot in front of the other, and then one day you look back and you've climbed a mountain. - Tom Hiddleston

Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker? -Garth Nix, Sabriel

I have not always chosen the safest path. I've made my mistakes, plenty of them. I sometimes jump too soon and fail to appreciate the consequences. But I've learned something important along the way: I've learned to heed the call of my heart. I've learned that the safest path is not always the best path and I've learned that the voice of fear is not always to be trusted.  -Steve Goodier

When you find your path, you must ignore fear. You need to have the courage to risk mistakes. But once you are on that road... run, run, run, and don't stop til you've reached its end. - José N. Harris
