Graduation & Passion

As students across the nation begin graduation season and get ready to conquer the world, a great question to ask your grad it this: “Are you passionate about your life?” Steve Jobs said, “Passion is everything”. He followed his heart his entire life and that, he said, made all the difference. In college, he audited classes he was most interested in, such as calligraphy, which is why Macintosh has beautiful font and typography. His passion for music led to the creation of an MP3 player that fit in our pockets.  His passion for animation, allowed millions to experience the joy of watching Toy Story, Finding Nemo and other movies.  His legacy is extensive – the iPhone, the iPad, were all the results of one man who followed his heart and his passion.

Steve Jobs spoke to the graduating class Stanford University in 2005 and said: “Life's too short to live someone else's dream.”  Steve believed that people with passion could change the world for the better, and they do.

Something to Think About

Are you passionate about your life and job? If you are willing to do the right things at the right time and commit 100% when it counts, you can find, and do, that which makes your heart sing. What is your passion?

Words of Wisdom:

Do or do not; there is no try. - Yoda

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. -Steve Jobs

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why. -- Mark Twain

There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. -- Nelson Mandela

The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So, write and draw and build and play and dance and live as only you can. — Neil Gaiman
